This is for Explorer Scouts who are coming caving with the County Team (not with their Unit). A new permission form must be filled in each calendar year.

Weekend Caving Trips

Booking Form (Word Format) - New version for 2009
Check the available dates and then use this form to book your trip. Full payment is required at the time of booking.

Sample letter to inform parents about a caving trip (post Troop Night) (word format)
This is a sample letter to send to parents to let them know about a trip that has been planned after the Scouts have already had a caving Troop Night with the County Team.

Sample letter to inform parents about a caving trip (no Troop Night) (word format)
As above, but for when a trip has been planned but the Scouts have not had a Troop Night.

Sample letter with details about the caving trip for those attending (word format)
This letter is for parents of Scouts that have booked to go on a caving trip. It gives further details about the arrangements for the weekend and also includes a kit list.

Permission Form (excel format)
The permission form should be given to parents of all under 18s attending a trip run by the County Caving Team. You will need to bring all the forms with you on the weekend.

Details of the kit needed for a weekend caving. Please make sure this is passed on to your young people.

Nights Away Notification (NAN) Form (word format)
The NAN form needs to be sent to your DC and copied to the host DC before the trip. This form had been partially completed with the details for the accommodation and the host DC.

Directions to Larkshall (word format)
The directions give two possible routes to reach Larkshall (the bunkhouse where you will stay) from the M4.
