Popham

1st and 2nd May 2010

Weather permitting! Contact me or Chris Shaw for details 01722-334524. All Explorer scouts welcome, as there's work to be done, but this year we're planning more. Camping on Popham Airfield during the Microlight Trade Fair and Aerojumble.

Given the number of Scouts expected, this year we're planning a program of aviation-related activities for when the day's work is done.

AeroExpo 2010

26th/27th June 2010

Aero Expo has really grown since the first show four years ago, and it's now a lot more youth-friendly. This year we've negotiation to have an Air Scouts booth along with the LAA and other organisation, and we're planning more besides. If you're interested in General Aviation it's well worth a visit, and right on our doorstep at White Waltham (Booker). Adult volunteers to help staff our part of the show would be most welcome!

Air Activities Day

18th September 2010

The Milton Keynes Aviation Society and the Light Aircraft Association (formally known as the PFA) are running the regular youth event and Bucks will be there running activities again. This takes place at Sywell airfield (near Milton Keynes) and we're joining in, with many of the activities from the Bucks weekend together with extras only the LAA can provide (like volunteer pilots, aircraft, runways and suchlike).

If you'd like to attend there are places reserved for Bucks Scouts - contact me to reserve a place - either as a group or with your parents.

Email Problems

Bucks Scouts appear to have been suffering from on-going email problems to all activity advisors. I am investigating the reasons for the difficulties, but anyone who's tried to email me in the last few months should be aware that their correspondence probably hasn't got through. Until its fixed, it appears that you need to email county office where someone will (presumably) print out your message and post it to me!

My telephone number still works - 020-8429-3047

Thanks, Frank.
